Born and raised in The Netherlands, Myra Biegelaar lived and worked for a period of twenty years in a number of African countries before settling in Curaçao. As a result she gained a lot of experience in dealing with various cultures. Through problems she encountered by moving to all those different countries she realized the importance of a smooth settlement in a foreign country. It was therefore a logical step that after arriving in Curaçao in 1989, she founded Dos Mundos Inc.
Dos Mundos is a company that provides, in a professional way, information to newcomers and facilitates immigration formalities.
These activities often necessitated her to act as a ‘mediator’ between the newcomer, the government and the trade and industry. This experience has been the base to setting up the Dos Mundos mediation practice.
Myra Biegelaar has studied Antillean law at the University of The Netherlands Antilles and Dutch law at the University of Nijmegen.
